ETSI technical committee TISPAN currently forces the development of TTCN-3 Interworking Test suites using TTCN-3. Special task forces have already been initiated to implement and validate abstract test suites focusing on e.g. SIP/ISUP and SIP/ISDN interworking units. In this talk we report our implementation approach and experiences made in STF297 on testing interworking between SIP and BICC/ISUP (profiles A and B). Special attention has been given to reuse knowledge and existing TTCN-3 code due to the SIP conformance test suite and the TTCN-3 test framework developed by ETSI for IPv6. The test definitions for the ISUP oriented test component have been generated semi-automatic based on a formalized version of the catalogue of test purposes. Validation is underway using the test laboratory of a telecom network provider.
